One blood type turned out to help determine the risk of heart disease.
Recent research from Harvard University suggests that people with blood type AB, not only the person with the most rare blood type, but also the most vulnerable to the risk of heart disease.
The findings in the journal Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology is also claimed people with blood group O had the lowest risk of one of these deadly diseases.
“If you know you are high risk, then reduce the risk by adopting a healthy lifestyle, such as eating right, exercising and not smoking,” said researcher Professor Lu Qi, reported by the Dailymail (14/8).
According to researchers, blood type AB is very linked to inflammation, which causes damage to the arteries. While people with blood type O has a natural substance thought to help blood flow and reduce clotting.
