Customs and Excise, the United States a few months ago stating turned away from Blackberry and Apple iPhone rumored to make use collaboration with Research In Motion (RIM). RIM said that the agency has signed a contract for a pilot program to test a new version of the Blackberry smartphone that slides early next year. Unfortunately, the Canadian company refused to disclose the details of the program. In addition, there is no exact data relating the number of employees who will try new Blackberry.
Secretary of the Customs agency declined to comment on the news. But he said “We do not stay away from the iOS or RIM. Our institutions have a pretty good relationship and have established long with RIM, we hope to continue to cooperate, “he said.
“Customs and Excise, the United States has been a long time Blackberry customers, and our commitment to the government has influenced the development of the Blackberry platform 10,” said Senior Vice President for Blackberry Security, Scott Totzke. It is known, in October 2012 the United States Customs and Excise will sign a new contract with Apple to purchase the iPhone to be used by 17 600 civil servants.
RIM must give USD 2.1 million changed hands to Apple. Customs and Excise, the United States argued that RIM technology can not meet the needs of the employees.
