Decorating your home
If you want to improve your mood, try changing your home decor, because the environment is very influential on mood. The color red can make some people become irritable or hostile, while yellow can make you feel happy and blue can help you become more relaxed. The study also found that by hanging pictures like painting a beautiful calming, mood can change in a positive and reduced levels of stress and anxiety.

We are aware that lack of sleep can make our mood worsens, but research reveals that when you sleep is almost as important as how much sleep you get. According to a study published in “Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences”, owls almost three times the chance of developing depressive symptoms than other birds are active during the day, so try to sleep early to improve mood.

Drug
A study conducted by Monash University researchers found that women who take birth control pills potentially up to two times of depression than those without. For some women, certain birth control pills may also cause mood changes, irritability and loss of libido.

Smoke
We all know that smoking can cause cancer, heart disease and premature aging, but it turns out it also can affect your mental health. According to a study conducted by researchers from New Zealand, people who smoke may increase their risk of depression, and for those who are addicted to nicotine, may increase the risk of up to twice the symptoms of depression than those who are not addicted.

Sunshine
Most of us have probably heard about the emotional distress caused by dark winter, but did you know that sunlight can also bring sadness? During summer, less than one percent of the population experiencing emotional distress (compared to 5 percent in the winter). The disorder can also lead to a serious condition for those who suffer from, such as insomnia, loss of appetite and depression.
