The Bible is the sacred book of the Jews and Christians. Christian Bible consists of two parts – the Old Testament and New Testament. Jewish Bible is the Old Testament. The word is derived from the Greek word Biblia, meaning “book or bible.”
- The Bible tells the stories of life, travel, warfare, and what people revered for thousands of years ago. If you want to visit the countries mentioned in the Bible, you must go to the eastern end of the Mediterranean. There you will find places that you read in the Bible.
- You will find many synagogues. In Jerusalem, for example, Christians can worship at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. It is said that this church was founded on the Mount of Calvary or Golgotha, where Jesus was crucified.
- Jews can pray at the Wailing Wall, where their most sacred worship.
